At the Trump Tower in New York City, police and the fire department have responded to the scene and could be seen removing vents and breaking holes in windows of the building.
Police have captured the 'human fly' climber attempting to scale the facade of the 58-story Trump Tower in New York City.
The man, named only as Steve from Virginia, began climbing the iconic building - home to both Donald Trump and his Republican presidential campaign - around 3.50pm in the afternoon of August 10. The billionaire real estate mogul was not there Wednesday as he was campaigning in Virginia.
Witnesses say the climber gained access to the tower via the lower level roof garden, which is accessible to the public, and then began climbing the all-glass facade using nothing more than suction cups and some rope.
At just after 6.30pm, NYPD officers standing at an open window on the building's 21st floor were able to grab the adrenaline junkie as he went past.
The crowd below cheered as he was dragged through the window to safety. He was arrested and taken into custody where he will be psychologically evaluated. AN NYPD spokesman said charges are pending.
The man who climbed trump tower is said to be named Steve, Stephen Rogata or Michael Joseph Ryan from Virginia
